In The Communist Manifesto curated by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, laborers in the Industrial Revolution were spoken of in a way that insinuated that they were being taken advantage of by big business and privately owned factories thanks to the idea of industrial capitalism, and even mentioned the world slavery as a likeness to their treatment and wages. However, if this was the only argument to be made here, the debate on this topic surely would not have lasted more than two centuries: there is simply more to be said and more to be learned. Despite all of the negativity that surrounds the Industrial Revolution itself, one must consider the world without it. This is what many historians and economists have done in defense of not only the revolution but of the workers behind it. However, this essay remains focused on the time period at hand, as the scholars who believe that there was more to this time period than capitalism and for lack of a better word, slavery. Boysons essay opened the door to the possibility that valid viewpoints and statistics existed for the opposing side, pointing out positive working conditions in some of the newer factories as well as more fair pay by some of the bigger businesses after some time. Not only is he implying from this statement that these laborers played a part in something now much larger than they were in the time period in which they worked, but through the conditions they faced they were able to gain not only responsibility, but a voice and a purpose. In addition, Ure is known for his opinions on industrial capitalism and the opportunities he believes the laboring classes were given to escape rural life and truly economic standstill. According to Ure, there just seemed to be no growth being made by these classes prior to the Industrial Revolution, and his views on the revolution itself are that there were countless positive effects that came out of the mechanization of Britain during this particular time period. He stated in his work The Philosophy of the Manufacturers that The constant aim and effect of scientific improvement in manufactures are philanthropic, as they tend to relieve the workmen At every step of each manufacturing process described in this volume the humanity of science will be manifest.(Ure, Philosophy of Manufacturers 1). Overall, these points and more within the works themselves have made not only a strong case in favor of the Industrial Revolution, but a seemingly stronger case for the working class citizens who took part in such an enormous improvement to society. In conclusion, although some argue that European governments may have made a point to degrade and take advantage of the laboring classes, the side that airs toward optimism is simply the one that best explains the environment surrounding the Industrial Revolution from 1780 to 1850 in Britain. Of course, looking at the bigger picture of the entire Industrial Revolution, there were many advancements made that benefited an even larger amount of people, so to compare the benefits of those who were not in the working class to those who were is simply apples to oranges. These laboring classes could not have been looking for large changes to their life, but simply opportunity. A chance to migrate and make something of themselves, find a craft or service that they performed well, and thus make a life for either themselves or their family. Of course there were pieces of the era that were poorly acted upon and at times took advantage of these laborers, and that long list of facts on the opposing side is simply why this debate continues and why historians and economists continue to learn more about the environment in which they are studying. However, upon further review and careful evaluation of both sides of this debate, optimism prevails not only in fact but in overall scope: these laborers were given opportunities they may not have had before, some were given a craft, others were given hope, and in the end they all gave something to a bigger picture of industrialization, new legislation, a better nation and world as a whole.

The basic conflict of the false accusations in Proctors eyes, between him and Abigail becomes complicated as more conflicts interfere, including obstacles, which frustrate Proctors attempt to reach his goal of proving Abigail wrong about the witch-hunt. One of these secondary conflicts are, Proctors troubles with Elizabeth, when she is taken away as Abigail has accused her of witchcraft. There is lots of suspicion at the beginning of the act as there is a sense tat Abigail is in the room. Elizabeth begins to get suspicious; she cannot take her eyes off of John. She sits and watches him taste it this shows Elizabeth is questioning her trust for Proctor as once again we are told He eats. She watches him. This is immediately after the first time, and then finally once again we are told She is watching him from the table all this watching is within the first section of the first scene in Act two, the beginning is extremely calm, but all of Elizabeths suspicion through watching him erupts soon after. This sense of suspicion suggests that their relationship is not as strong as it is made out to be. Miller juxtaposes the calm beginning of the act, when Proctor arrives home and has dinner, with the hysterical ending, when Elizabeth is taken away after being convicted by Abigail Williams as a witch. The setting, lighting and sound effects all create dramatic tension, as the lighting, a fireplace suggests peaceful surroundings towards the beginning of the act but towards the end the fire signifies hatred and anger. The setting of the dinner table and the kitchen shows that it is a normal home at the beginning of the Act but towards the end this is not the case as it is not normal that Elizabeth is convicted of being a witch. And finally the sound effects, like the door being knocked on when Herrick arrives with the warrant for Elizabeths arrest, it suspends the audience leaving them wandering, what will happen next? Who is at the door? How will it link in with what is happening at the moment? This all leads up to the third Act of The Crucible, which is known as the climax (turning point). This is where here is a sudden change of events due to a bad decision by the protagonist. Miller manipulates the audiences response in this act by not showing them what is happening in the courtroom in the first scene. Google on the other hand has not fully maximized its potential to perform better and maintain its market share based on a number of issues based on its strategy.   The number of mobile internet users is rapidly increasing, and this gives it the opportunity to establish an advertisement display platform on such devices so as to open newer markets  (Strategic Management Insight, 2013). In addition, the company can get patents through mergers and acquisitions. This will enable the company grow and compete successfully  (Ahuja Katila, 2 001). Google innovative culture has led to its introduction of a driverless car a concept that can be used in a wide scale, in future automobile model. The company though not an automobile company can license these models to manufactures as an additional income channel. Google with the introduction of the Google Chrome book Pixel Touch Screen Digitizer, Google Nexus One and HDMI Streaming Media Player have given indication of its intension to capture the electronic industry. This is a new opening for the company and is receiving a warm reception in the market  (Booton, 2013). According to Strategic Management Insight (2013), Google is currently working on fiber cables that will revolutionize the speed of content delivery online. This is consistent with its strategy of getting people to use the internet as much as possible; universal access. This would integrate the company vertically since it would have no competition in such infrastructure  (Fine, 2009). Effectiveness of Google’s Business Strategy Google generates more revenue from its web based products; this is the Cash Cow  (Shulman, 2008). In particular, its web ranking has made it monopolize the internet business. It is impossible for any online company to operate without Google web ranking and Google has used this product to exert its might in the industry. Most major companies are at the mercy of Google’s algorithm a product that determines the success or failure of any online business. It is the unseen hand that controls all businesses online. JC Penny unsuccessfully tried to break into this system and lost considerable amount of its revenue in 2011  (Fox, 2011). Google took advantage of the increased traffic and web ranking to survive the challenges associated with the global GDP fall in 2012. This was the year that the company made the greatest gain in its history commanding 66.9 percent of all internet searches. Key Features of Google’s Strategy Google’s business strategy might seem successful and one that has seen the company rise over the years, however, a close analysis of this strategy reveals monopolistic business practices. Google is a company that is financially stable and is capable of introducing as many products in as many markets as possible to divert attention of critics. In addition, Google’s greatest asset has always been its innovation. The company unveils new products and technology constantly and this has kept it a head of competition. Google’s strategy has also been a disadvantage to the company; the company has focused on acquiring online companies and grown in that regard, but it has failed to tap considerably into other streams of income.   It is not easy to point at any of its electronic products as state of the art or as a market leader. The leadership’ vision focused on the internet as the basis of its business. Conclusion Google has aggressively positioned itself in the market; it   is continuously becoming volatile with competitors and other stakeholders viewing Google as un fairly taking advantage of its strength to stay at the top. Google has successfully positioned its self in the market and with this coupled with a stable financial base, has been the reason for its success. The company through innovation, continually introduces new products that are instant hits in the market and this will be able to help it dominate. However, as seen above there are areas that the company needs to take notice of in order to stay a head of the competition.   Dependence of on product is detrimental to its financial future and call for the creation of multiple streams if income.
